It has been 3 years since Pusha T dropped his critically-acclaimed album, Daytona, and he wants you know to know that things will be elevated all around for the next project. According to Hip Hop DX, Push was responding to a tweet about the album and made claims that his skillset has improved considerably.
“First of all, I was listening to this just a second ago…”, Push said in response to TIDAL executive Vice President Tony Gervino, who posted the song “The Games We Play”. “Secondly, I’m so much better now than I was then.”
But the braggadocious commentary does not stop there. Push told Behind the Velvet Rope that he will have the best album of 2021 when he drops.
The details about his upcoming album are slowly coming out as the date approaches. There was a photo Pusha posted of him working with the Neptunes, both Pharell and Chad Hugo. Instead of having 7 tracks, just like the last album, this project will be a little longer with 12 tracks.
It is definitely time for Pusha T to put this project out while there is still time left in 2021. It has been a long time since Daytona dropped, an album that was brilliant with only just a short amount of time for the project. In spite of that – not to mention the controversy which was his feud with Lil Wayne and Drake – it was an amazing piece of work that even garnered him a Grammy nomination. In addition that, Pusha should spoil rap fans and drop before the year ends. This year, we have been blessed with albums from Drake, J. Cole, Tyler the Creator and Kanye West to name a few. Push needs to put his project out and make everybody’s album of the year debates a little more hectic.
